Art Deco tea trio by Reid & Co c 1936


Vintage Art Deco tea trio c 1936.  Candle scented with organic rose geranium, burn time approximately 40 hours.
Reid & Co Park place works, Longon, Staffordshire. Production was dinner ware and in particular tea sets.
  • Thomas C wild (who already operated a number of pottery works) purchased the Park Place Works around 1910. Harry Reid, who was a traveller for Thomas C Wild was installed as the manager.

  • In 1913 he sold a half share to Harry Reid and from then on the business traded as Reid & Co. with Reid as Managing Director.

  • Around 1917 the partners were Thomas Clarke Wild, Harry Reid and T.C. Wild's sons - Thomas Edmund Wild and Frederick James Wild. 

  • In September 1932 Thomas Clarke Wild retired from the business. 

  • Harry Reid died around August 1933, Thomas E. Wild and Frederick J. Wild continued the business retaining the name Reid & Co.

  • In 1946 Reid & Co was incorporated as a limited company and the business name was changed to Roslyn China
