New Hall tea bowl and saucer c 1784

New Hall porcelain teabowl and saucer c 1784, floral swag Chinese export market design, pattern no 78, pure Jane austen.  Teabowl 8.5cm in diameter.

Shelton, Hanley.   New Hall was one of the first porcelain works in the UK and here during the period 1781-1812 examples of experimental hard paste porcelain ware were made: all of the New Hall examples in this collection belong to this period.  It was only after 1812 that the works began to produce the classic English bone china.  I will add the candles to these pieces as they sell, so that you may choose your favourite scent.
